A Dynamic Convention Center Built for Change
The Julio Cesar Turbay Ayala Cartagena de Indias Convention Center (CCCI) was born as a project by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Tourism in 1978. The initiative was designed to create economic opportunities for Colombia’s Caribbean coastal region through the creation of a World Class Center for conferences, meetings, events, conventions and international summits.
On May 13, 2010 Grupo Heroica was appointed to operate the Cartagena de Indias Convention Center. Grupo Heroica has three partners: Sala Logística de las Américas, Grupo GHL Hoteles and Grupo ConConcreto By delivering the very highest service levels, the group’s MISSION is to promote and position Cartagena de Indias as the best destination for meetings, conferences and events in Latin America.
The group’s VISION is to become the benchmark in Colombia for state-of-the-art meeting rooms and convention facilities and the very highest standards of service. Our aim is to help organise every possible type of event or meeting, including the most important business, government academic and social meetings and events in Latin America. By doing so we will create jobs, help Cartagena grow and cement Colombia’s place at the epicenter of the most important conversations taking place in the western hemisphere.
